On 11 November BRUIN Financial is holding the second in our diversity forum series, which will focus on Gender Diversity in Financial Services.
We are delighted to have Nicola Horlick, the City’s best known, high-flying woman and fund management guru speaking. Nicola has worked in the fund management industry for over twenty years and has participated in the growth of some of the UK’s premier asset management businesses. She now chairs a private equity business, is CEO of a film-development company, manages a restaurant business and is a director of an NHS Foundation Trust, all whilst bringing up a large family. Nicola will be sharing an insight into her experience of ‘having it all’.
Alongside Nicola, we will be joined by Arun Batra, the CEO and Founder of the National Equality Standard (NES), which is the UK’s first quality standard for business diversity. Arun will provide an insight into data metrics and measuring diversity, with the aim of implementing cultural change.
In addition, Robert Thesiger CEO of The FISER Group (parent company of BRUIN Financial) will be giving an overview of the findings of the BRUIN Women in Financial Institutions (WiFI) Index. This is a monthly index provided by BRUIN Financial which aggregates 2 years of data to monitor the employment and engagement of women, the gender pay gap, and the male to female interview and job placement ratio specifically in the Financial Services sector.
BRUIN are determined to raise the bar on inclusive employment and the BRUIN Diversity Forum series is one of many diversity programmes which we have implemented as part of our commitment to achieving this goal. We are delighted to have been recently recognised for our work in this area, having been short-listed for the 2016 IRP REC Awards for Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practitioners.
