A tax-efficient investment manager is looking to add a Head of Internal Business Development to their distribution team based in London. The candidate will primarily be focused on managing a team of 3 Internal Business Development Managers, as well as proactively selling and managing some accounts independently. Their client base focuses primarily on IFA clients as well as wealth managers and other intermediaries.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Managing a small team of Internal Business Development Managers in their daily activities
  • Taking ownership of building and maintaining client relationships with high end IFAs, financial intermediaries and wealth managers
  • Making proactive outbound phone calls to generate new business and relationships with the aforementioned client base
  • Travelling and attending presentations when required
  • Strategically target, arrange and attend 1:1 meetings when necessary
  • Working collaboratively with the wider group to ensure best practice of distribution

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior experience of managing an internal or external BDM team
  • A history of building and maintaining relationships with IFA, wealth management and financial intermediary clients
  • Asset management experience
  • Proven experience of a proactive business development role, with telephone sales experience a must
  • Ability to work to weekly KPI's and manage one's own stats
  • Act with integrity, honesty and a keenness to learn
