Employee of the Month – Sinead

10 Questions with Employee of the Month

Each month the whole company nominates someone who has gone above and beyond their day job. The winner of the award is then announced at our monthly FREE Thursday round up and is added to our annual prize draw for free return flights anywhere in Europe!

This month we’re sitting down for 10 quick fire questions with May’s winner Sinead Canavan, who as well as being one of our Consultants, is a secret YouTube star, musical theatre aficionado, and Candy Crush master.

1. Which team and office do you work in? I work in the Insurance, Pensions & Benefits team in BRUIN’s London office.

2. How would you describe your job to a 10 year old? I help people find their dream job and make more money.

3. What would be your claim to fame / something people may not know about you? I was in a music video for a very well known Irish comedy sketch group grossing 17 million views on Youtube.

4. Name one thing which you’ve been most proud of at work in the last 6 months. It definitely has to be winning Employee of the Month. It is amazing to have the support of such a great company behind you every step of the way.

5. If you could change one thing about working at FISER, what would it be? Perhaps the aircon- we can go from winter to summer in the space of an hour sometimes!

6. What advice would you give to a new joiner? Network- We as business have some of the best recruiters and mentors I have ever worked with, all of whom are more than willing the help and give advice whenever asked. With such amazing talent in the business it is always worth speaking and getting to know everyone.

7. What’s your current favourite app? It would have to be Instagram. Although I am not a big poster myself I do enjoy gaining some fashion or fitness advice and also keeping as up to date with peoples day-to-day  lives back home in Ireland.

8. What’s your favourite line from a film? Rather cliché it would have to be “Nobody puts baby in a corner” from Dirty Dancing. I have performed in musical theatre since I was 4 and have always enjoyed  watching movies or visiting the West End. Dirty Dancing is a favourite movie of mine – although one I have yet to perform on stage.

9. What’s your guilty pleasure? I can often be found playing Candy Crush on the train to and from work and distraction from the busy commute.

10. If you could switch jobs with someone, who would it be? Probably Gal Gadot – I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be Wonder Woman for the day.
