A leading investment bank is looking for a network project manager to join their team in Birmingham as an AVP. The team is responsible for operating, building and engineering the global network services.
Responsibilities will include:

• Plan, lead and manage teams responsible for the projects
• Engage and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Find solutions and examine requirements working with other teams
• Define, plan, document and communicate project scope
• Coordinate the implementation of the project solution.
• Engage with vendors
• Report to key stakeholders on the project’s status
• Manage and report all project risks and take corrective actions when and where necessary
• Technical project management for Network and Firewall deployments
• Liaise with Information Security, Architecture and Data Services
• Ensure operational standards and governance are respected interacting with different services, business and stakeholders

Skills required:

• Excellent skills in communicating technical information to senior staff, both verbal and written
• CCNA level knowledge in technical networking and firewall needed
• Competence in working with different stakeholders with different backgrounds
• Proficiency in quality standard management ensuring successful deliveries given time resource and cost restrictions
• Advanced level in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Project
• Good level of understanding of Cisco Networking Devices including troubleshooting of routers and switches
• Good understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
• Network Security knowledge including Extranet, Firewalls, Proxies
• F5 Deployment experience
• Advanced knowledge of ITIL
• Project management experience with a change control background
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Degree or equivalent title or experience required
• ITIL and/or CCNA are preferred
