DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops, manages and conducts project plans in conjunction with systems manager and business managers for assigned projects.
• Works with relevant stakeholders to determine the scope, requirements and solutions for assigned projects and ensures integration with other project teams.
• Leads and manages teams of Project Leaders/Administrators. Identifies hires, trains and develops the team as needed to meet project deliverables.
• Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback and recommends wage increases and adjustments in accordance with applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Communicates progress, issues, and solutions to senior management and business clients to obtain their input or buy-in as appropriate. Provides written and verbal communication to many different organizations and audiences within Vanguard on the status of the projects.
• Participates in development of periodic business plans and budgets, including cost/benefit analyses of all technology projects as required.
• Establishes project structure involving legal and compliance issues, client service, operations, interfaces with legacy systems, workflow and procedures, testing requirements, reporting, budget and benefits measurement and any other aspects of the business affected by assigned projects.
• Develops and manages vendor relationships that are required to meet the business and technology needs.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Previous experience in the financial business
• Ability to work independently
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent Project Management skills and experience
• Ability to generate creative approaches and solutions.
• Excellent PC skills (use of word processing and spreadsheet applications).
• Knowledge of Individual Division business requirements and workflows preferred.
