Leading city based investment bank with a strong US heritage but a global reach.

The successful candidate will be part of the Regulatory Reporting and Policy team within Regulatory Controllers, who are responsible for:

• Supporting the external reporting process, through calculation of the capital and liquidity requirements and preparation of the reports to final sign-off by senior management. This covers all relevant regulatory authorities and includes capital, leverage, large exposures and liquidity.
• Ensuring all reports are submitted on time, managing the timeline to ensure reviews are complete to schedule.
• Ensuring that the capital and liquidity calculations are fully compliant with relevant regulations (especially CRR) by working with relevant policy specialists.
• Providing assistance in the daily review all internal reports to be distributed to senior management, including commentary on day-on-day movements, ensuring it is distributed on a timely basis, and commentary is meaningful for the management of capital and liquidity.
• Working on enhancing the systems and processes and automation of requirements in the regulatory reporting system, taking part in projects as required by the change function. This requires drafting requirement documents and participating in testing.
• Assisting with new business initiatives ensuring that relevant reporting (internal and external) can be maintained following the implementation of new products.

• Knowledge of financial products including fixed income, and equity products (cash and derivatives).
• Understanding of the UK regulatory framework including requirements in the FCA’s Handbooks.
• Understanding of Basel III (CRR/CRD IV) requirements including of transitional arrangements and especially implementation of reporting in Europe (COREP).
• Educated to degree level.
• Previous experience in the financial services environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Analytical and numerate.
