A well-known, reputable Asset Manager are looking for a strong Financial Crime candidate from a Wealth/Private Banking or Buy-Side background to join the business. The successful candidate will be considered as the company expert on AML matters.

• Ownership of financial crime policies, including AML, Market Abuse, Fraud Prevention and Anti-Bribery & Corruption.
• Roll out of policies across the business in a practical and pragmatic way.
• Represent the business at Group Financial Crime forums.
• Oversight of AML processes across the business.
• Ownership of enhanced due diligence processes.
• Ensure key AML systems are understood and working efficiently.
• Preparation and review of documentation for high risk clients, escalating to MLRO as required.
• Lead on AML related regulatory change.
• Ensure complex client structures have the appropriate level of client due diligence.
• Be considered as the company expert on AML matters.
• Review and processing of SARs, in liaison with MLRO

The successful candidiate will have the following:
• 4+ years experience of Financial Crime compliance (particularly AML) activities in a financial services firm, preferably investment, advice or wealth management.
• Good knowledge of the FCA handbook and JMLSG guidance
• Be a pro-active individual with a “can-do” approach
• Ability to work with people at all levels
• Excellent people skills and ability to influence others

Our client is flexible when hiring for this role, and able to hire at Analyst or Manager level depending on the level of experience of the candidiate.
